Game Glitches That Made Me Laugh

Glitches are supposed to be bugs—mistakes in the code that break immersion or ruin gameplay. But sometimes, they do the exact opposite. They don’t frustrate… they entertain. Over the years, I’ve encountered glitches so bizarre, so perfectly ridiculous, they had me laughing harder than any cutscene ever could.

Here are some of my all-time favorite game https://www.leonengels.nl/ glitches that turned chaos into comedy gold.

1. The Spinning NPC Head

In one RPG, I talked to a quest-giver who was supposed to deliver a serious monologue. Instead, his head started spinning in circles like a possessed bobblehead while his voice remained calm and collected. I couldn’t hear a word he was saying—I was too busy wheezing with laughter.

The glitch even persisted through the cutscene. Nothing says epic storytelling like a demonic breakdancing face.

2. Horse on a Roof

In an open-world adventure game, I summoned my horse. Simple, right? Except it spawned on the roof of a house. It stood there, proudly, defying physics and logic. Then it slowly slid off, hit the ground stiffly, and ran away like nothing happened.

To this day, I call it “roof horse” and I wish I had saved a screenshot.

3. Rubber Band Limbs

Fighting games are all about precision… until a glitch turns your character’s arms into spaghetti. I once did a punch combo, and instead of stopping, my arm stretched across the screen and whipped back like a slingshot. My opponent was frozen, probably laughing too hard to fight.

Nothing kills the tension of a duel like turning into Stretch Armstrong mid-fight.

4. Getting Stuck in a Wall

This one’s a classic. I was mid-sprint, jumped near a corner, and—bam—phased halfway into the wall. Couldn’t move. Couldn’t escape. Just stuck there, legs twitching. My friends walked by and took turns posing next to my glitched body like it was a modern art piece.

Sometimes, becoming part of the level design is your true destiny.

5. Unkillable Enemy… Who Floated Away

In one mission, I shot an enemy, and instead of dying, he stood up straight and floated upward like a helium balloon. Just drifted into the sky, arms at his sides, no sound, no animation. The entire lobby paused to watch him ascend.

We didn’t fight for the rest of the match—we just saluted as he disappeared into the clouds.
